For KVA, microgreens also fitted naturally with our interest in propagation and young-plant production: a small crop with a fast turnaround and plenty of variety.
A shallow tray, good seed, clean growing media and even moisture are enough to get started. Different varieties develop at different speeds, so sowing crops separately can make harvest timing easier.
Microgreens are young vegetable, herb and salad seedlings harvested while still small. They can be produced quickly, need relatively little growing space and offer plenty of variety in flavour, colour and texture.
Small greens with big flavour.
