TIME TO PLANT GARLIC — Here is how

Garlic is normally planted as individual cloves with the pointed end facing upward. Good drainage is important, and a layer of mulch can help moderate soil moisture and suppress weeds as the crop establishes.

Autumn is a great time to plant garlic. As the soil cools, cloves can establish roots before winter and then put on strong growth as the weather warms again.
